One-month challenge: Day 15

Looks like there’s gonna be some changes round here again. Sometimes it feels like changes is all that keeps occuring, but I guess we all just have to deal with it as best as we can.

Here’s an account of my day:

  • Met with my employer to discuss returning back to work
  • Finished 5 out of 8 videos
  • Played quite a bit of Aground
  • Went for a walk with Alex
  • Bought stuff from Dollarama (kind of like Daiso and Dollar Value) to organise our room

It’s been over a month since I’ve been laid off because of the pandemic, and I went in today at their request to have a little chat. It was a little unnerving since I had no idea what it would be about and was walking in blind.

Long story short: I’ll be going back to work on Monday for a 3-day workweek, instead of my normal 40 hours previously.

It’s going to be interesting to see how things play out over the course of the next few months as people adjust to the new normal.

Since I’m planning on continuing this one-month challenge, I’m just going to have to figure out how to finish up more videos on the days I’m not working. We’ll do what needs must.

How does this relate to my goals?
UDEMY COURSE

So much debugging. Debugging is the worst, especially as I’m still learning and processing the concepts I’m learning. When I miss out a damned curly bracket, the code just doesn’t work and the game can’t be played.

Not too much done today since there was Joe Bob Briggs tonight, and I also had to process new changes for the week.

ILLUSTRATING ALEX’S BOOK

This goal is on pause, as per my explanation on Day 2.

FIRST INVESTMENT AKA BUILDING MY FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE

Nothing today either. I’m feeling the urge to remove both the 2nd and 3rd goal from my daily updates, seeing as I’m not able to progress on them anyway. It feels a little discouraging to see my lack of progress.

I guess we’ll see what happens over the next few days. In the meantime, I wish you all a beautiful Saturday morning.

This post (Day 15) is part of a one-month challenge I’m working on.
